Why reference?
Referencing and attribution is how students can demonstrate the depth and quality of their research and submitted work. By stating the source of the original idea teachers can examine the authenticity of a students work. Referencing correctly prevents plagiarism and encourages academic honesty. All students are required to learn about academic honesty in accordance with the school's Academic Honesty Policy. Watch this youtube clip for information regarding APA formatting. If at anytime a student is unsure about correct, age appropriate, referencing, please ask the library staff or your teacher.
